Akia fixed her shirt as Chaos continued to gallop, anger filling her completely. How could you let him get that close? Her mind scolded her while she sighed and tried to push the thoughts away. Just forget him. Shaking her head she slowed Chaos, nearing the edge of the woods. Dimounting, she started into the brush, knowing most of the area. "I haven't been here in forever," she muttered, watching for elves in the trees, not wanting to cross paths with one. She went a little way into the forest, stopping by a small creek where her horse could drink. Sitting beside the water herself, Akia lay back on the lush grass, closing her eyes.

As Damion neared the edge of the forest he dismounted and then began to track the horses tracks. As he neared the creek that Akia was at he noticed he was not alone. Yet he was not sure whomelse was present. He continued on till he came to her. "Akia, why did you leave like that?"

Akia winced as she heard his voice, not turning around to face him. "Why did you follow me here?" Her voice was hollow, empty of all emotion. She'd been halfway through shutting everything out, and was so close to having her walls back up, she didn't want him here interfering. Especially when he might bring something back out. She waited quietly for his answer, trying to retreat to her shell she'd grown so comfortably safe in.

Akia held still, feeling him come closer. "I trust no one." She spoke softly, staring at the creak, trying to ignore her heart twisting in her chest. Let go of the pain, you'll never feel for anyone. It's not worth hurting over. She thought over and over, still trying to stay in control of her unwanted emotions.

"Then let me be the first."Damion proclamed as he finaly reached her. "I.... I need you to trust me." He watched he closly not wanting her to leave again. "Akia talk to me. Tell me why you fear this so much that you would condim yourself to a life without love. Tell me what has made you this way s I can help you."

Akia shook her head, standing. "If I can't trust you, why would I tell you why I don't bother with love?" She asked, her anger seeping through her defenses. "Why do you even care?" She continued, loosing control completely. "Maybe I don't know why. I don't know why I'm so cold, I don't know why I can't love. And maybe I don't care." She finished coldly, turning away from him. Maybe I do care. Her spite kept the words in her mouth, rolling around bitterly on her tongue.

Akia tured to face him, "That was a dumb thing to say." Stepping toward him quickly, Akia pulled her dagger from her belt, slashing at him. He easily dodged and she lept forward, advancing. "Just leave now!" She shouted as she swung her wrist around again, barely missing her throat.

Akia watched him fall to his knees and scoffed. "Fool." Walking towards him slowly, she expected him to jump, move, protect himself. When he stayed still, her amused smile faded instantly. Grabbing his hair forcefully, she jerked his head back, her other hand moving forward with liquid grace, her blade stopping within inches of his throat. He never flinched. "Ec muwa naymmo fundr teaehk vun?" She asked, her voice only a whisper, unable to understand how someone could be so weak and stubborn about it at the same time.

Damion only looked at her then with but a whisper, " Yes." the sound of his voice was stern yet soft. He was unwavering. "If it my time to die then bring it now." And with that he said no more.

Akia almost stepped back, amazed anyone could be this stubborn and moronic. She lowered the blade from his throat, eyes blank. Raising her hand, she brought the hilt of the sword to his skull, listening to the crack that echoed through the woods. She watched him fall forward, and then turned, mounting her horse. "Pa rybbo E cbynat oui," she spat and then kicked Chaos, turning him and galloping away.
