A shadow flitted through the trees, followed by another. It stopped behind a tree and peered around, the soft light showing some features. The feeble light showed the shadow was a girl with long, dark colored hair. Near her feet was a wolf, thick in hair and softly glowing eyes.
The girl took a strung bow from her back into her hands, peering around. The wolf looked up and wruffed softly, its tail wagging. An arrow sat in the bow but was soon put away with the bow. Smiling down at the wolf, the girl moved on, whistling softly as she explored with her friend.

"Well hello!," Sabriel said,"I wasn't expecting anyone yet."
That was because she hoped she wouldn't be interupted.
But oh well, too late now! Maybe that was for the better because she decided she liked these people and that she'd help them whenever she could and however she could...As long as they didn't poke and prod her about her past and what she would be facing. It will be ok, sabriel, breathe!!! What has gotten into me lately? It seems so awkward, I feel paranoid of future happenings, and hopefully I'll have enough and good friends to help me...Hopefully.

Iris jumped a little and looked over at Sabriel, her eyes wide with curiosity. "Oh, hello. Whats your name?" she asked curiously. With a hand, she pulled a lock of hair away from her face and waited for an answer.
Broken Fang growled friendly, his bushy tail wagging. He had a long scar across his left eyes, missing the lid of his eye and sloping down to his jaw. It was gained by a fight with a rival male and he was proud of it. Iris smiled down at him and then looked back up at the girl, her eyes blinking softly.

"I'm Sabriel, whats yours?," Sabriel asked, shyly since she was a shy person,"I've heard it is Iris, have i heard correctly? That is a pretty name." Sabriel glanced down at Broken Fang and smiled.
"Hey there," Sabriel said as she scratched his jaw,"You like that don't ya boy? He is a boy, right? You remind me of a good friend of mine, but i don't know where he's at right now...His names Mogot, but he seemed to run off on me a week ago. I hope someone doesn't take his collar off...Anyways.."

Iris smiled as Broken Fang closed his eyes, wagging his tail softly. His tongue lolled out and he panted slightly. Iris looked back up, her face bright. "Yeah, I am Iris but some call me Irisbird. And this is Broken Fang. He is my closest friend since I was young and we have been traveling together for a long time, she said. Broken Fang glared at Iris, making a face at her. Turning his attention back at Sabriel, he smiled, winking an eye at her.

"You are one silly wolf, if i may say so myself..." Sabriel said,"You have quite some character in you!" Sabriel glanced back through the trees to wait for anyone else who might have followed her or Iris...Although she seemed to think that nobody was suspicious or wondered because she hadn't heard anyone coming...I sure do home she says something, and something soon or I think i'll leave to explore elsewhere...
"Well I think I am going to take a walk a little farther..I was looking for the meadow with the lake in the center because I've acquired a thirst. If you want you can come with me. I don't mind the company at all!" Sabriel smiled as she said hoping that Iris would come with her...

Iris thought for a second, looking at Broken Fang as they conferred. Broken Fang growled and snapped his teeth, his eyes dark. The hair on the back of Iris's neck rose slightly, her eyes wide. She looked over at Sabriel and shook her head. "No, we have to go somewhere.." With that, she and Broekn Fang bolted, hardly moving any leaves or plants and disappered into the gloom of the forest.
